Commercial Description:
Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

The aroma is yeasty, citrusy, and malty witha touch of honey. The appearance is blond with a medium sized head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth with a somewhat spicy finish. This one is likable.

Bottle: Poured a orange yellow hazy amber with a thick creamy white head. The aroma is sweet and citrus. Nice coppery metallic malt flavor, finishes a bit sweet.

750ml bottle, BBD C905 – 3rd week of Sept, 2005, label is different then shown here, the label on my bottle has the two guys dressed in white with white head dressings, wearing spectacles and both of the men have the handlebar mustache. Poured light to medium gold that was a little cloudy with small floaties, sweet fruit and yeast aromas, some light malt aroma, some flowers and citrus orange pear aroma, there is a light sour fragrance, light malt flavor with a bit of sour, some sweet that fades quickly, small bitterness in the finish, much drier on the palate then I expected, this drink is light on the tongue.

Bottle from Party Source, KY. Poured hazy amber with a moderate fizzy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty fruity aroma. Medium body. Medium complex sweet citrus flavor with a medium tart citrus finish of moderate duration.

The body’s a hazy pale gold, well carbonated, with a modest fizzy head. Nice fruity aroma, nectarines with a tart orange twist, backed by a warm spiciness. Very light and spritzy mouthfeel, gassy in the belly. The flavor is more like fresh peaches with watery lime and an increasing floral bitterness. Refreshing if gas-building.

Some citrus and sugar in the aroma, a hint of spice. Pours a nice blonde with a big white head. Sweet, sugar up front, some citrus notes, very floral, almost perfumey. its very drinkable though. There are also some notes of spice throughout.

This is a smooth beer with a nice light spice. Not one of the best blonde beers i have had but it is a nice beer to relax with.
