Commercial Description:
This beer looks like it means business right from the start. It is dark red brown with a good fluffy head and has a rich spicy malt nose with a few bitter orange notes. The palate has a big hoppy bite and a rich, fruity, dark coffee character, which tries to become roasted in the finish.

750. $7. Pours a nice hazy brown, w/ red hints, and covered by a thick frothy slightly off white head. Can’t get much in the nose. Sweet tastes filled w/ pure malt, yeast, and moose/choc. undertones. A very easy drink, that still pleases w/ malt that gets a little funky in the linger.

thanks solan, the bottle had a couple years on it, not sure how many? Rich caramel aroma. Pours dark brown with a white head. Creamy caramel flavor, with a lot of milk chocolate in the back. Very smooth and creamy.

Pours a mahogamy brown with a medium off white head. Smells of some big dark malts and caramel, some nuttines as well. Tastes of dark malts and a touch of some light chocolate. Kind of syrupy, with a rich caramel background. Pretty smooth and easy drinking. Pretty decent.

Beer pours clear mahogeny color with the expected big, beige Belgian head. Aroma is quite nice with big chocolate maltiness and big fruity esters also a bit of earthy yeastiness. Flavor is very malty with nice roasty notes, chocolate, finish is moderately dry. Mouthfeel is smooth and soft though not oily. Quite a nice Abbey Dubbel though way maltier than average.

An Outstanding blend of flavor and style. Its aroma is mild but the taste has taste of coffee, malt and fruit. The flavors is smooth with alcohol is covered.

The aroma is coffee like with toasted malt, cola, and yeast. The appearance is red brown with a medium sized head. The flavor is just like the aroma. The palate is smooth. I like this one pretty good.

bottle @ pembury tavern. Big fan of la binchoise varieties and this is no exception. Deep brown with a patchy beige head. Aroma of malt, chocolate and strawberries - a lovely combination. Taste of chocolate strawberries, malt, spice and bread with a hoppy edge. Nicely spiced finish of malt and coffee. Mmmmmm.
