Spicy, herbal, flowery, dusty, peachy, bubblegummy aroma...oh hell yes. Sweet flavour of peaches, cherries, bubblegum and lightly molassesy malt. Some dusty yeast notes. Finish is sweet with a hint of alcohol. Sublime, complex brew that for some reason I failed to appreciate the first time around. HumuloneRed (750), Portland, Oregon, USA

Nice orange(ish) and coriander spiciness with a sweet malt and candi sugar background. It had a chalky texture and a dry finish. Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark

Some berries and cinnamon, otherwise not much. Very drinkable for it’s size however. MartinKubert (862), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2004 Medium copper w/a short lived light beige head, I blame my glass! Perfumey plum fruitiness and malt when chilled; light roastiness works in as it warms, light piney aroma, chocolate & nuttyness. For some reason I’m also picking up a little lemony citrus; yeast is doughy. Malty and well balanced, hints of roast, very plummy fruit, toasted malt, bready yeast flavor as well as lightly peppery spice, finish is semi dry w/ a fruity malt flavor; immediate aftertaste is the same, lingering aftertaste is coffee beans and lightly roasty with a little earthy hop. Medium bodied, higher carbonation, well hidden alcohol, very smooth overall. I’m guessing that this brewery uses the same yeast in all their beers since they have the same plum character which I do enjoy. I like this one, but not quite as much as the Reserve. humulus (338), Salem, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 11, 2004 A rose petal nose and a metallic aftertaste. Though it may sound more offensive than I mean it to, there is a bit of a Windex flavor. It sits deep roasted chestnut in color bordering on chocolate with nice medium body lacing. There is essence of nutmeg, anise and caraway that seems to stagnate in the underdeveloped malts. Because it is such an interesting beer, I want to like it, but it really has no redeeming quality to justify a higher rating.
