Commercial Description:
This beer looks like it means business right from the start. It is dark red brown with a good fluffy head and has a rich spicy malt nose with a few bitter orange notes. The palate has a big hoppy bite and a rich, fruity, dark coffee character, which tries to become roasted in the finish.

End of the year rate-a-thon continues. 750mL cork and wire into a large Duvel tulip. Pours murky dark brown with no clarity and a medium head. Just your basic beautiful Belgian pour. Aroma is strong with a hit of lightly syrupy, raisin sweet, slightly spiced, black bread. Its got airiness of a Belgian yeast as well. Its strong and a bit young, just can tell its a bit too aggressive. I feel like this aroma will come together even better with time. Taste is again lightly syrupy sweet with a lightly empty raisin flavor. Just seems to be a bit lacking with a slightly thinner body. Ends with a stale, lightly empty aftertaste.

From bottle at Creperie Bretonne, Louvain-la-Neuve. Dark brown with a small tan head. Roasted malts and spices aroma. Somewhat perfumey taste with roasted malts in the background. On the spicy side, but still highly drinkable.

This comes out to me exactly as stated on the label, Artisinal Brown Ale. A dark brown, with a cream colored head that lasts, tasting of fruit and caramel and all the other things I associate with Belgian beer. While not spectacular, certainly drinkable with a good 8.2% kick.

The aroma is light carmel and toasted malt. the look is a clear dark brown with a big cream head. the flavor roasted malt with a mild spicy orange. the beer coates your mouth a little and the carbonation is a little low.

Head is very small but deep, smells as fruits for me mostly cherry maybe apricot. The taste is quite sweet, the finish is long remains a yeast aroma, nice beer.

Buona birra della Binchoise presa in 3 all’Exultate; un po’ difficile da finire però eh... dovevo guidare e ne ho bevuta poca però ne ho già piene le palle.

33cl bottle. Good beer but not a great Belgian. Better than average but lacked real complex characteristics. Pours cloudy brown with a chocolate milk head. Pretty normal dubbel but maybe a little thin. Easy to drink and probably a good entry beer for trying the dubbel style.

33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, clear, small head, good brew, but not a topper
