Marcello’s Wine Market, Baton Rouge, La. - 1 pt 9.4 oz bottle. Pours a dark crimson to light brown with a frothy khaki colored head that leaves generous lacing. Molasses, raisins, baked brown bread in the aroma - sweet and clean. Flavor is somewhat mellow, some sweet malty notes with hints of chocolate, raisins, but nothing really jumps out and grabs you. Not bland, just not exciting. Smooth mouthfeel, not too fizzy. Goes down smooth.

Sep 20, 2008 From bottle at Creperie Bretonne, Louvain-la-Neuve. Dark brown with a small tan head. Roasted malts and spices aroma. Somewhat perfumey taste with roasted malts in the background. On the spicy side, but still highly drinkable.

Sep 14, 2008 This comes out to me exactly as stated on the label, Artisinal Brown Ale. A dark brown, with a cream colored head that lasts, tasting of fruit and caramel and all the other things I associate with Belgian beer. While not spectacular, certainly drinkable with a good 8.2% kick.

Aug 19, 2008 The aroma is light carmel and toasted malt. the look is a clear dark brown with a big cream head. the flavor roasted malt with a mild spicy orange. the beer coates your mouth a little and the carbonation is a little low.

Aug 17, 2008 Head is very small but deep, smells as fruits for me mostly cherry maybe apricot. The taste is quite sweet, the finish is long remains a yeast aroma, nice beer.
