The_Beer_God (2830), Newport News, Virginia, USA Jan 16, 2004 Pours a deep brown with reddened edges. Small tan head. The nose is dark fruit, sort of nutty, dry caramel, and maybe well-water. The tongue is met with light spice, some very light hints of chocolate, malt, and some more fruit. Not picking up any "big hoppy bite" as stated in the description. Little thin on the palate but still kind of chewy. Very smooth carbonated mouthfeel. Good beer!
thehurt01 (132), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 19, 2008 The aroma is light carmel and toasted malt. the look is a clear dark brown with a big cream head. the flavor roasted malt with a mild spicy orange. the beer coates your mouth a little and the carbonation is a little low. jaghana (14), Strasbourg, France Aug 17, 2008 Head is very small but deep, smells as fruits for me mostly cherry maybe apricot. The taste is quite sweet, the finish is long remains a yeast aroma, nice beer.
Lord_Corkscrew (548), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy Aug 1, 2008 Buona birra della Binchoise presa in 3 all’Exultate; un po’ difficile da finire però eh... dovevo guidare e ne ho bevuta poca però ne ho già piene le palle. BelgianBeerGal (892), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 23, 2008 33cl bottle. Good beer but not a great Belgian. Better than average but lacked real complex characteristics. Pours cloudy brown with a chocolate milk head. Pretty normal dubbel but maybe a little thin. Easy to drink and probably a good entry beer for trying the dubbel style. BoBoChamp (636), Gent, Belgium Jul 22, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex, clear, small head, good brew, but not a topper
