| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2007 Caged and corked, Nice bright but deep orange color and a active, attractive head. The aroma is a nice cushy mandarin orange ... then this drinks with very refreshingly for such a strong Belgian beer ... even my wife, who usually can’t stomach Belgians, wanted to share this one. Thanks to Cameron at Coastal Wine Connection for sharing this with us -- we had to buy some! (#2977, 6/15/2007) acearl (215), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2007 Mahogany pour with tan creamy diminishing brown creamy head, fair lacing, skimmed creamy texture and light carbonation, very sweet apricot smell and very sweet apricot white sugary taste make this too much but it was minimally balanced with the slight roasted malt, not much of a finish, went well with spicey food which is about all I could say positive about it, I would have liked it less by itself. Not really what I expected. Palidor19 (1780), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2007 Quite an enjoyable beer. taste of malts and apricot fruit. The beer has a lot of yeasty sediment that gives it a special kick. Quite a nice welcome change of pace. nick76 (2669), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 8, 2007 The aroma starts off fine. It’s interesting with a unique yeast, cola, candy sugar, malt, and fruit. The appearance is copper/amber with a medium head. The flavor is unusual with an earthy like quality to go along with apricots and the aroma elements. The palate is a tad thin and the finish is dry. Overall it’s not the best. jimhilt (1687), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2007 Pours a five-finger cream head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber with a ton of yeast in bottom of bottle. Slight hoppy nose. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is sweet like a creamsicle - smooth, hint of hops at finish. $3.80 for a 330ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me. JohnnyJ (1343), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2007 Pour is a very hazy golden brown with a nice creamy light tan head. Interesting aroma that is different than I’m used to, very much like fruit candy... sweet malt, citrus, light fruit and candy sugar. Flavors of fruit, yeast, sweet malt, sugar, and spice. A little thin and fizzy, but not too bad. Bart (1653), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2007 2005. Darker amber coloured with some average carbonation and a medium off-white head. Very fruity aroma, with some yeasty touches. Full palate. Finish is again fruity, yeasty with some light alcoholic malty hints. Very nice one. Veeve (312), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Apr 16, 2007 on tap at Eulogy Beligan Tavern in Philly. served in a big beautiful belgian glass. beautiful deep gold body with modest small rim head. OH SO DRINKABLE!! we had these the first day we were in town and then headed back there for some more of em before we headed to the airport. goes down so smooth, so easy, so fast, you gotta watch yourself. smells of sweet gingerbread, herbal and ripe citrus. tastes creamy while not too heavy. real velvety cream palate. tastes of light buttercream, citrus hops, cloves, candy, florals, fruit flavors, apples, grapefruit, but not too sour or too sweet, light corriander, finishes soft and herbal. its just extremely pleasant from start to finish to aftertaste to sip 2 to last sip. I’ve never given a 20 before but theres a first for everything. I only wish they carried this on tap around here. then again, I’d probably never stop drinking it.
