The smells in this one arent overly exciting and it seems tough to tell what the beer is gonna taste like from the smell. Kind of reminds me of a stale Belgian triple with light sweetness in the smell. The taste, however, totally makes up for it. Very full flavored with fruits, malts, grapes, a little melon and a sugary taste that hangs on the tongue a little while. This definitely one of my favorite belgians. I’m always pushing this one onto my customers. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Corked bottle, 2006-12-11, 8-4-8-4-16=40 Hazy amber color. Nice aroma, perfumy, malty, a bit fruity. Soft and mellow taste, with some good malt, a dash of fresh fruitness, some toffee; the bitterness is not very high, but on the end there is a touch of sweet liquorice root.
Draught at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen; 2006-11-27; vintage 2005, 8-4-8-4-16=40 Cloudy amber color. Malty aroma, a bit fruity, sweet caramel, candy like. Good body, quite malty, with a lot of sweet and fruity caramel, and a rather complex mix. Peculiar, very interesting.
