Commercial Description:
Speciale Noel could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

Pours a rich reddish color with a thick stable white head. The smells in this one arent overly exciting and it seems tough to tell what the beer is gonna taste like from the smell. Kind of reminds me of a stale Belgian triple with light sweetness in the smell. The taste, however, totally makes up for it. Very full flavored with fruits, malts, grapes, a little melon and a sugary taste that hangs on the tongue a little while. This definitely one of my favorite belgians. I’m always pushing this one onto my customers.

2004 vintage. Poured a hazy amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, apricot, a bit of peach. Taste is fruity, yeasty, leading to a dry and yeasty bread finish. Body is fizzy and light. A nice refreshing Belgian.

Cloudy orange/amber with nice creamy head. Spice, orange, cane sugar and malt. Bit thin and watery but a nice finish!

Medium honey colored with minimal white head. Aroma is very sweet and fruity. Taste is initially sweet, but fades quickly into generic flatness. 25.4oz/$8.25

Corked bottle, 2006-12-11, 8-4-8-4-16=40
Hazy amber color. Nice aroma, perfumy, malty, a bit fruity. Soft and mellow taste, with some good malt, a dash of fresh fruitness, some toffee; the bitterness is not very high, but on the end there is a touch of sweet liquorice root.

Draught at Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen; 2006-11-27; vintage 2005, 8-4-8-4-16=40
Cloudy amber color. Malty aroma, a bit fruity, sweet caramel, candy like. Good body, quite malty, with a lot of sweet and fruity caramel, and a rather complex mix. Peculiar, very interesting.
