Commercial Description:
Speciale Noel could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

11.2 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy orange copper color with a small off-white head. Generous amounts of carbonation visible. Spicy and fruity aroma, belgian yeast, nutmeg, and maybe a little cinnamon. Flavor features alot of yeast with moderate spicing, quite fruity and refreshing. Very long dry earthy finish with light hoppiness. Lighter bodied with very lively carbonation on the tongue. A very nice Christmas seasonal, not overly spiced. No hint at all that this is a 9% abv beer.

Bottle 75 cl @ 12C. Belgian style + a litte bit extra carbonation. Very drinkable and fresh christmas beer. Not a heavy beer like the "normal" belgian.

Draught at The Busted Lift in Dubuque, IA. Hazy orange-brown color with thin head. Smells and tastes of dried fruit, spices, yeast, and alcohol. Slightly sweet.

Good, but I expecte mor,e the aroma is spicy, and very good in foam, but it was a little thin in flavour. Good at the end.

Yeasty, alcoholic, and fruity nose; marmalade, tangerine, and pear highlights; somewhat spicy and floral; overcarbonated and chunky particulated body; bready, strawberry and apple sweetness followed by an evergreenish light hoppy balancing bitterness; a tiny hint of nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice; complex, yet subtle and fairly alcoholic; quite nice.

Draught @ Brewpub København: Orange/red coloured. Unclear. Small dense biege head. Perfumed and floral in the nose. Flavour of ginger, cinnamon and cloves. Citric and fruity, with floral and flowery notes. Smooth and hoppy. Medium bodied. Is sweet and spiced in the end. Quite dry.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, foamy head. Aroma is sweet caramellish with hints of malts. Flavour is quite dry fruitish and hoppy. Aftertaste is dry and hoppy. Quite pleasant, Alcohol is not noted too much in it, but gives a nice sweet touch.

a sim rate: (bottle @ Quinns) Tastes like sherbet with several fruits - plum, strawberry and raspberry. Tastes like fruity gelly sweets. Fizzy, sticky finish. Very drinkable for a 9% Christmas beer!
