Sampled at the stuffed sandwich. This is a tripel, no doubt about it. Bubbly loose head over a lite golden beer. Aroma of dry candied oranges and lite grassy hops. Apricots and corriander fill the mouth with lushness from the high CO2 levels. Med.-lite body. Dry clean finish. Excellent. scotty (832), Scotland
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 4, 2005 This came in a Duvel shaped bottle and looking at the strength I expected it to be a lookalike, but...Its not, much darker, with a big smooth malty palate, and spice coming across on the finish. Finish is satisfyingly long...liked it! Shame it came from Amsterdam, can it be bought in Scotland/Northeast England? dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

Poured a cloudy amber color with a thick white head. Good aroma with a lot of cherries, and a slight hoppy background. Spicy, fruity flavor. Good beer. mark2hu (3), north wales, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 8, 2005 definite citrus aroma, certainly some spiced elements to the brew. nice brussells lace. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 22, 2005 Pours murky orange with a decent off-white/orange head. Aroma of yeast, must, and holiday spices. As far as palate, wow and not necessarily in a good sense. I’m all for chunky beers, but this one leaves a coating on your mouth and tongue that doesn’t go away. Flavor seemed thin and lacking complexity to me. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 13, 2005 Very nice warming brew of good depth. Fruits and madeira note on the nose. Plums, apricots and raisins with a bit of candy sugar and caramel. Bread and toffee fill out a very comples palate. Big velvety finish that lingers nicely. kms399 (267), plymouth, Minnesota, USA
