Flavor is malt and fruit, much more fruity than expected. Also has some sourness, which I didn’t expect with a Chriatmas beer. MiP (9096), Sønderborg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 8, 2004 First beer at the Beer Circus (Croydon) festival of Christmas beers. I was surprised how most of these Belgian renditions differed from our idea of Christmas beers in the UK - relatively pale and fresh, almost in a Tripel style, rather than the rich, dark, spiced fruity numbers that UK brewers tend to go for. This was orange in colour, with a creamy, off white head. Fruity (but in an appley kind of way) and there’s something herbal (but not spicy) going on too. Not too sweet. Pleasant, just not what I was expecting. Bottled.

The taste is also on the fruity side and reminded me of cranberries. A nice beer Interesting how cranberries go with turkey at Christmas time because otherwise I wouldn’t think this a Christmas beer at all. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 5, 2004 Bottle. Not disimiliar to the Regal chrismas. Has those same smooth, herbal, licoricy, light dark fruit flavours aswell as the light coriander spicyness, very good, lovely soft, yet rich mouthfeel. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Fairy floss in flavour along with slight caramel and a good whack of spice. Some banana notes too. Smooth medium mouthfeel. Good beer. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England

Very fruity, yeasty and slightly sour, earthy boysenberry aroma with rose leaves. Extremely fruity, slightly yeasty, even port-wineous flavor with berries and some cardboard hints. Medium-bodied, quite smooth-carbonated palate. Hides the ABV very well. A very nice, balanced and fruity brew - not christmasy, for sure - but who cares :)
