Commercial Description:
Speciale Noel could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

Pretty nice and varied floral and citrus aromas. Amber topped with tan froth. A little lacking in chewiness but that could have been my tongue being unable to move after the first 25 beers of our massive sampling. Cheers Tug.

Wow 2 days in a row I’m DBG what an honor. Smells of apricots and tropical fruits. Zesty, spicy banana and tingles the tongue. Sure has that holiday flavour. Smooth with a zip on the finish I like it.

Bottled. Dang, I was cellaring a bottle of Speciale Noel, then someone brings the bottle labeled as Reserve Speciale, and I thought the angels on the label was just a coincidence. Well, this pours out a cloudy brown under a thin head. No bubbles visible, but taste is bery fizzy, like champagne laced with whiskey. On a warm September instead of Christmas, it still makes one feel good as it slides down.

Spiced pears and apricot, toffee malts, light hops. Nice bouquet. Murky brown with off-white lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts spicy sweet with prune, spiced pears. Fragrant herbal notes, like perfumed soap. Light bitter. Finish is still sweet, with more dry hop contribution. Alcohol warming. After is light sweet and spicy.

Thanks Kujo9! Looks like a Belgain Strong Ale, brown to orange in color, pours with a moderate off white head. Aroma is unique, a mixture of spicy(almond extract and lemon grass) and sweetness. Flavor is very lemony and sweet. Sweet finish.

Pours a nice amber colour. Aroma is spicy and sweet malts, almost like toffee. Flavour is rich malts and a slight alcohol note. A nice strong Belgium.

Essentially, this is a really nice amber ale. Amber color (a bit cloudy), caramel in the flavor, as well as a few spices, as normally found in Christmas Beers.

Wow, this is a very enjoyable beer. Nothing special to look at, but when it comes down to it, I like it.
