Commercial Description:
Speciale Noel could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

Lot # 130343. Medium orange amber with OK head. Nice aroma of orange marmalade and a hint of cloves. Good malt sweetness with some interesting flavors going on, lots of orange marmalade, and an anise note that is almost like rubbing fresh tarragon between your fingers. Fortunately (since I don’t particularly care for licorice notes) this is a background flavor. A bit of a bite on the palate detracts, but overall a well made and enjoyable beer. After a run of bland Belgians, this was a welcome break.

On tap, pours with a gigantic head and a lively fruity aroma of nutmeg, and other spices, and I swear I smelled ginger. Decent color, but I would have liked it a bit darker, had a definate red tint. mouthfeel is a little thin and oily, but quite nice for a spring beer. Tastes great, can’t even detect the alcohol, masked wonderfully. Good stuff!

Slightly yeasty, fruity aroma, some apricot and touch of berry, plenty of sweet rose scent. Amber bright. Smallish white head. Front with apple flavour, some yeast followed with bitterness. Very rich flavour that sometimes might affect drinkablility Interesting aftertaste, slightly earthy.

Cloudy red-orange w/ pillowy, speckled beige head. Sweet perfumy aroma of peach, papaya, clementine, bubble gum & Earl Grey Tea. Lively, highly carbonated feel. Sweet, complex, yeasty flavour of peach, clementine, lemon, bubble gum &, yes, Earl Grey Tea. Slightly acidic & balanced toward the alcohol.

A hazy dark red beer with a fine off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nutmeg and cloves - a really lovely aroma. The flavor is sweet with notes of nutmeg, cloves, yeast, oranges, wood, roasted bread, caramel and corriander. A great flavor that is rounded off by a light bitterness. The palate is good - and it warms very nicely.

An orange brown brew with a big but short lasting head, good lacing however. A good mix of aromas but not in the abundance I expected ( could be just me). Some of the aromas picked up were clove, nutmeg, bread. Good taste. Malts, sweet, aforementioned spices, nice carbonation and the acohol is well hidden. Fairly tasty.
