Commercial Description:
Speciale Noel could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

Bottle pours cloudy orange with a large frothy off-white head.   Good lacing, light carbonation, and some tiny yeasties suspended throughout.   Corriander, orange peel, lemon zest, and cloves make up the aroma.   Very sweet and citrusy smelling.   Belgian candi sugar up front, followed by some licorice and citrus notes.   Finish has a slight roasted bitterness, but its very faint.   Slight fruit and licorice tinge in the aftertaste.   This one is very enjoyable & very spicy!   Full mouthfeel, the 9% is well hidden.   I'd have this again for sure!

Mildly cloudy with a sweet and caramel nose. Hints of brown sugar. Tastes very full and rich, almost candied like rock sugar. Lingering notes of licorice.

Clear amber body. Off-white fizzy head, virtually not lacing and mostly lasting. Sweet hoppy aroma. Moderately bitter, moderately acidic initial flavour. Lightly bitter, lightly acidic (long) finish. Lively mouthfeel.

Off orange color with decent ivory head. Big sweet aromas of bubble gum, honey, coriander and orange. The maple syrup sweetness hid the 9%. I liked it so much, I shared bottle #2.

Wow! Orange-brown colour, slightly cloudy with a nice off-white head. Huge smell of ginger, raisin, bubble gum, and a fair amount of alcohol. I also get some sort of tree resin, cedar or juniper, but I can’t quite tell which. More subtle notes include nutmeg and other warm spices. Taste is quite bready and yeasty, fairly sweet with huge candi sugar taste followed by rich maltiness and a very long raisin and apricot finish. Very rich tasting and quite warming. Simply awesome! I drank the end ten minutes ago and I can still taste it.

Nice orange color with an off white head. Christmas spice aroma of cinimon, nutmeg, and pine. Big malty flavor with the initial spice followed by a big candi sugar malt flavor that lingers on the palate. Nice beer.

I'm enjoying this one right now. My father recently brought back a bottle from Belgium. Quite possibly the best artisinal beers for the price. This one however is not as impressive as the reserve. Aging is a must for this one. A great pour but short. Deep amber in color it's floral aroma and champagne like mouth feel was good. Not enough malt but a good warm finish with a lingering aftertaste. Try one.
