Commercial Description:
Speciale Noel could only be a Christmas beer. It is a classic, warming winter ale with plenty of depth and a roasted, fruity malt character.

750ml bottle: poured cloudy orange with a thick off white head. Mild caramel aroma, very mild. Not much aroma to speak of. Flavor is malty with a bit of sweetness but not a whole lot. Moderate fruitiness. Not a whole lot going on here really.

750 ML bottle purchased at Raja Liquors in Livermore, CA. The pour: golden caramel, with a large bubbled head that collapsed somewhat quickly due to its alcohol content. Bouquet: yeastiness, caramel, spiciness. The entry: heavy mailtiness that just envelops the whole mouth with a maltinessbalanced with a spicy fruitiness at the same time. The finish (aftertaste)- maltiness, caramel. Enjoyed with tacos spiced with Dave’s Ultimate Insanity hot sauce! Praise GOD for this one!

Stored in my cellar awhile. Initially, some mustiness, and then orange and corriander. Creamy mouthfeel.

750, corked and baled. Pours a cloudy, almost murky ruddied dark amber with a thick, surging, moussy off-white head. Pleasant funky balsamic and red apple nose. Fizzy medium body, a bit on the dry side. Red apples, brown apples, and brown bread on the mid-palate. Gets a bit bitey and twangy near the end, and the finish is excessively drying; it’s positively arid, in fact. Might be nice mixed with something as a cocktail, but not sure what.
