| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Bottled. Hazy dark amber colour, mediumsized longlasting beigeish brown head. Aroma is fruits, caramel malts, some mild notes of wood and syrup. Flavour is caramel malts, some spicyness, syrup and also wooden notes along with some slight touches of burning alcohol. As it warms up the alcohol makes more of a burning feeling in the mouth and throat. Yet a quite nice strong ale, which varies from the masses. Bart (1664), Brussels, Belgium

Pours murky, dark brownish amber with a big, firm, frothy, off-white head. Lovely fruity and malty aroma. Prunes, apples, sweet barley, prunes, raisins. High carbonation, lovel creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has a light zesty tart green apple/apple peel note at first. Then good caramel malts, prunes, light vinious, sweet. Quite lovely actually. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2003 Cloudy amber coloured beer with a small head. Sweet coriander aroma. Sweet, liquorice and coriander taste and a light bitter finish. This is a nice beer and could make a nice vintage beer. The only drawback might be that the coriander is a bit too dominating. altonbrownd (1960), Amsterdam, Netherlands
