This is one of the best beer I ever drank !Honey, corriander and fruity aroma with a nice big creamy head. In mouth, this beer felt like velvet for the palate, incredible sensation. So bad that this beer is almost impossible to find, I would love to have a keg in my house !

Hazey, pale with a small white head. The aroma is pear, pepper, corriander and lots of floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet, caramel, tea, honey, pepper and lots of grassy and herbal hops. Medium body with soft cabonation and a smooth texture with a better end. Quite nice.

Draft at Zeno’s, and it was listed as Chouffe Gnomette. Unfiltered, wit-like in appearance, or like a murky Belgian blonde. I thought it was fairly similar to La Chouffe but it lacked the strong soapy coriander nose that Chouffe has. More of a lightly spicy peach and sweet lemon flavor. The yeast is what makes this beer, and it’s a nice, even spicyness, mellow you could say.

Thus far the Chouffe beers have failed to impress me. Sampled on draft at Zeno’s in State College PA this beer poured a murky orange-honey color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was somewhat faint but fruity. The flavor was bitter and very hoppy with orange, grapefruit and some other undefinable fruit flavors mixed in. The finish is long, dry and bitter.

On tap at the Bier Garden. Pours a golden orange. Soft is the descriptor that kept coming up. Soft tangerine nose with belgian yeast spices as well. Flavor follows with a smooth palate. Very drinkable. Wonderful stuff.

On tap at Concordia Ale House. Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a tall white head. Tropical and citrus fruits give this a unique character. Finish is hoppy and eastery. Light peppery character dries it out a bit, very smooth on the palate with a great fruity aftertaste.

Golden color with a moderate off-white head. Light malt sweetness transcends the aromas with a mild floral undertone. Flavors of sweet pale malt with a light touch of lemon. The citrus does not cut the fullness and this one get more cloying as it sets. Stewed raisins and fig flavors start to get annoying as the sips continue. A sweet pale belgian at best. Perhaps this barrel is not aging well.
