Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear amber with a white head. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of caramel, baked apples, some citrus, cinammon. Flavours of citrus, summer fruits, caramel, quite sweet. Finishes sweet, malty and lightly hoppy. Quite pleasant.

Bottle 33cl. Pours a nice amber colour with a normal size head and normal carbonation. Fresh and fruity aroma, about the same goes for the taste, nice balance but nothing really special.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber orange body with a white head. Fruity esters with some apples, pears and coriander. Spicy pepper and earth. Prickly carbonation with a mild warming. Nice.

kind of a ruby/sunset kinda color. aroma is a little yeasty and tangy. flavor is a little citrus-y with some pear and apple flavors, almost like a cider. a little bit of matly finish with more of that tang of the citrus. no real aftertaste to speak of, fairly clean finish. kinda interesting.

Wow, weird barleywine/chocolate smell from the last filthy, yeasty ounce left in the bottle. The beer itself smells musty, funky, and weirdly similar to barleywine, a real sniffer. The taste is grainy, sweet, and like barleywine but almost too grainy. The next flavors that hit me are candy, and fruit. I must have the actual delirium tremens because this seems like a Belgian barleywine to me, yikes! Watch out for the elephants! The mouthfeel is a little thin but damn this is a crazy beer and I like it. What’s the story behind the cartoon snail? Please google that. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-05-2007 16:05:14

Bottle @ Hazenburg Bruin Bier Cafe te Ermelo. A clear dark orange/golden colored beer, with a firm foamy white head. The aroma of strong fruits citrus and overripe apples. There are malts and some bitter. The taste is tickling. There are fruits like pear and overripe apples with a little citrus and orange. A little spices with nice bitter. The aftertaste is bittersweet with a lot of fruits.

Hazy amber with a medium white head. Fruity and spicy notes. Fruit, malt and hops. Medium body, high carbonation and a bittersweet finish.
