Apr 28, 2007 750ml bottle. Pours a clear golden with a large long lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, corriander, yeast spice, and light herbal hops. Taste is the same with a hint of citrus. Medium mouthfeel that finishes dry and spicy. A tried and true favorite.

Apr 27, 2007 Bottle shared by sliffy. Golden-orange pour...hazy with a fizzy creamy white head. Aroma of lemon/lemon zest, light zest andsome spice elements. Flavors of lemon, yeast, spices, and light candied fruit. Lively carbonation with a medium/light body...fruity/dry finish.

Apr 26, 2007 Beautiful appearance. Hazy orange with a large frothy head. Sweet and spicy, citrus fruit with a decent but understated hop balance. A complex and seductive beer.

Apr 25, 2007 Updated: Aug 5, 2008Bottle. Pours with a nice, large frothy head common among belgian ales. Its speckled with little dots of yeast sediment (lees) that look almost like a sprinkling of nutmeg. The scent is very complex with hints of cinammon, and nice citrusy note. The appearance is a spectacular golden orange. It has a very thick and full palate, with a rather smooth and silky texture. It tastes like other golden ales but with and extra element of intense spiciness, likely from the coriander. Overall it is well-rounded, drinkable and yet very intense and somewhat alcoholic. My favorite part of this beer though has to be the name and eccentricity of the brewery. Raise a glass to La Gnome!

Apr 22, 2007 11.2 oz bottle. Pours a very murky light amber color with a very large head. The lacing on this glass is extremely thick. If you don’t watch your pour, you could get all head. The smell is very malty and fruity. I really think peach dominated the scent of this bad boy. The taste is very different from other Belgian strong ales. I noted a peachy taste with malt and some yeast. The taste that really messes with the palate is pepper. There wasn’t much in the way of carbonation or hops here. This is a very interesting beer, not at all what I expected.

Apr 20, 2007 750 ml bottle - pours a hazy golden with a massive fluffy white head that hangs in for a looooong time. Yeasty, sweet candied fruit and spicy aroma. Flavor is initially sweet malts, candi sugars and fruits that develops into belgian yeasts notes with spice and pepper into a dry very lightly hopped finish. Medium/thick palate.

Apr 20, 2007 Hazy clear golden yellow with huge foamy head. Lot’s of fruit, yeast, malt and citrus taste and aroma. Good struckture and fine lacing.
