May 25, 2006 Amber with a big offwhite head. Nutty aroma with almond, hazel nuts, malt and some licorice. Nutty flavor, milky and with almond. Malty soft finish, very good.

Apr 29, 2006 Dark brown with a small head. Sweet aroma with fruit and pepper. Sweet coffee taste with a touch of alcohol. A bit too fizzy. This was quite drinkable but didn’t really stand out in any way.

Jan 25, 2006 Bottle conditioned, from Fabeers in York. Chestnut, good lasting off white head and moderate condition. Low aromas of sweet brown sugar, a slight fruitiness and a gentle peppery-spicy hop note. Gentle earthy sweetness in the mouth with a pleasant subcurrent of malt and burnt toffee. Earthy dry fruitiness in the finish with some roasted barley lingering.
