Very full-bodied, lots of malts and a caramel-like sweetness. Has a somewhat vinous touch - sherry? Fine - albeit discreet - bitterness to give balance. Typical rusic biere de garde-character. A true Christmas beer. 230405 yespr (12426), Copenhagen O, Denmark

The rich dark fruits are slightly sour on the aroma, along with a bit of choc. Plums and cherries also. Moderate fullness in mouth supported by some great syrupy fruit which never gets too much. Fruit is quite intense. Not too much boiled sweet which some of these beers suffer from. Finish has a bit of dryness almost a bit of powder. Fruit is prettygood. Syrupy but great. And a bit of spice, nutmeg/cinnamon. TBone (6868), Pori, Finland

Copper brown, small white head. Malty, grassy nose. Caramelly, grassy hoppy and sweetish. Not very Christmasy. Like a combination of typical bière de garde and a bock.
