Very enjoyable. stouby (1954), Holbaek, Denmark

Red with red head, fully diminishing. Aroma sweet (raspberry). Flavor sweet and acidic. Light body, watery, lively carbonated. sleepingbear (27), Lake Leelanau - Detroit, Michigan, USA

It had less in residual sugar which was a refreshing change but it lacked any tartness.
This beer kept flexing it’s malty nuts and manhandling the raspberries, even despite this- it was still pretty wimpy.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2005 Updated: Sep 15, 2007La Choulette Framboise is a fruit beer that is not exactly a lambic but getting pretty close from it. It has a deep red colour with almost no head at all, it actually looks like soda. Flavor is very dry and not that sweet, which is astonishing for a fruit beer. But you can definitely taste the raspberry aroma. The finish is abrupt and somehow bitter.
I think it qualifies as a "pretty interesting beer", though I think La Choulette Blonde is way better.
Drink it along a piece of pork, it’s a great combination. jtw (943), farmington, Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2005 hmm....i think the only reason this isn’t classified as a lambic-fruit is because it’s from france and not belgium, because it’s extraordinarily similar to lindeman’s framboise. clearly sweetened, but i think i like it. smells like raspberries meet hops, and a little extra sugar dissolved. quite dry despite the initial sweetness - i wonder how they achieved that? this beer fits right in the timeline of steak, dessert, and coffee, somewhere between dinner and coffee. maeib (4762), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 25, 2005 Bottled - Peterborough BF. A deep red coloured beer with a raspberry jam aroma. The taste is a let down resembling a poor lager base with some fruit added. All a bit artificial and nowhere near as nice as most Belgian fruit beers. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 19, 2005 Bottle. Wow, the ratings are up and down on this one. I dig this and i think its classy. Soft, natural rasberrry character (fleshy rasberrry). Subtle, lightly sweet, with a off dry finish, very well balanced. Like it. dornoy (681), Lyngby, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Almost no head on a reddish body. The taste is not too sweet nor too bitter. I has a good balance between the hops and malt on one hand, and the fruits on the other. Excellent as dessert beer or apéritif. Very pleasant experience.
