I has a good balance between the hops and malt on one hand, and the fruits on the other. Excellent as dessert beer or apéritif. Very pleasant experience. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 31, 2005 750 ml bottle shared with tiggmtl at Arbor Brewing in Ann Arbor, MI. Little to no head topping a dark cloudy amber body...big fruity nose, mostly sweet, a bit musty and cobwebby rather than fresh-picked...nicely tart body, berry sweetness and honey at first, wheat sourness coming in later, but on the whole it doesn’t add up to much. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 22, 2005 Pleasant raspberry scent, not overwhelming. Beautiful red amber colour, no head retention. Sweet and fizzy with a strong malty aftertaste. Not too sweet. Cornfield (4978), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2005 Slightly hazy reddish-brown with an initially towering, densely packed head, the aroma is dominated by fruits. Raspberry is obvious, this being a Framboise, but, although not present in body, blackberries and blueberries seem to be there as well. At first taste it becomes obvious that this is no fruited wheat beer, but a robust Biere de Garde, with a solid, malty body and an iron-like bite. The fruit dominates, but the malt is ever present. A refreshing warm-weather ale, at 6.2% ABV, this is dangerously drinkable

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 10, 2005 Glowing hazy red, with a light white head. Mild raspberry aroma, with some odd yeastiness in the background. Start is dominated by sweet sugary raspberry, but suprisingly it is never cloying. Long dry mid and finish, without being tart. Interesting, but a little watery and lacking in depth. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Pours dark deep red, white head made up of tiny bubbles. Aroma is very nice sweet raspberry. Falvor has initial raspberry kick but fades to nothing very quickly. Very carbonated. Little thin. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2005 bottled. deep red in colour and topped off with a frothy white head. There is a nice full raspberriness to the drink that avoids to trappings of fruit beers that come in floris or chapeau. Has more in common with Amsterdam really, but with a more distinctive beer body and less of a cola mouthfeel. Gets sweeter the further you go, but it’s not overwhelmingly so. Pretty Good! mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Still a decent fruit beer though.
