It’s unusual for a framboise. The raspberry flavour is hidden by the beer flavour. And then sometimes it’s as if the beer flavour is hidden by the raspberry. The aroma is great. Not too fruity. The aftertaste is a bit metallicy, but overall, it’s an OK framboise. gilvanblight (390), Windsor, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2005 Deep mahogany red pour. Little head that fades quickly. Strong sweet berry scent. Not too sweet "still tastes like a beer" unlike most fruit beer. Berry flavor very pleasant not at all overpowering. Best fruitbeer I have had. KariCupcake (214), Lenox, Massachusetts, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 30, 2005 Pours bright clear red. Short pinkish sudsy head. Looks like the regular stuff with some raspberry syrup. Aroma is mainly musty stale berries and yeast. Body of the beer is thin. Raspberries show up dulled but tart. Thankfully not sweet. Lemony. Dry flavourless finish. I agree that it is a great summer beer. It simply lacks character. jerc (3924), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 29, 2005 Bottle. Ruby body, small bubbly white head with a slight pinkish hue. Aroma is dominated by raspberry. Flavour is primarily raspberry, but well balanced in a sense as wel. Not too sweet, but could be a touch more tart. Despite being hte dominant flavour the raspberry is oddly muted, having some watery moments ever so often. Palate is acceptable, but a fuller body would serve it well. Well suited for warm weather. Enjoyable. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Dark blood red appearance with a small white head. Slightly increased alcohol balances quite well with berry flavour - one of the most well balanced fruit beers I’ve had - gives up a little fruit taste but retains its beer roots. Very nice and enjoyable, much better than the Peche. GregClow (2496), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 22, 2005 Bottle at Smokeless Joe. Bright red body with a wispy white head. Yummy aroma of fresh raspberry jam. Flavour isn’t as overpowering as the aroma suggests, with the raspberry being well-balanced by the beer underneath. I would prefer the fruit to be a little more tart, but otherwise, it’s a refreshing and well-mae fruit beer. Pailhead (2593), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 18, 2005 Bottle: Very nice raspberry aroma. Actually raspberries, not candy or kool aid raspberry aroma. Pours a deep tranparent red with a large bubbled off-white/pinkish head with very good retention. Flavor is no where near as good as the smell. Watery raspberry flavor with a lgihtly hopped finish and some real light caramel. Wasn’t expecting much when I bought this, but after the aroma, I was rather let down.
