Good, slightly irony and stony fruit beer, never gets too sticky or cloying, potential bit of rough caramel lurking suggesting the BdG underneath, but ultimately stuck in the middle - not beer, somewhat naturally fruity but damn boring. No super obvious flaws... Man, what a winner! jeffc666 (1893), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Brown-ruby body topped by a quickly vanishing light pink head. A strong aroma of raspberry permeates the air during the pour. Digging my nose into the glass I smell little other than raspberry. The flavor is earthy, dirt-laden raspberries, lightly tart, medium sweet. We’ve got nothing but raspberry juice here. The palate is light and spritzy. Not a good beer. bu11zeye (5564), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2005 This beer deserves...needs...to be served as it warms; too cold and you kill off more than you do with an average beer. It comes across as a saison with a raspberry edge, and the raspberry grows as it warms. With a red-edge on a brown body, and a good off-white head, it drinks as a frothing beer while tingling with sourness, giving the sense of fruitiness on a complex Belgian body. Though there is a watery quality underneath. The beer is probably not exceptional beyond its aroma, but it is still solid across all dimensions, and worthy trying. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2005 A deep red cloudy body with a light pink head. The aroma is an amazingly rich cherry with honey and flowers. There is a hint of some light balsamic vinegar. Very rich and fruity aroma. The taste is more dry than I expected. There is a hint of cobwebs and some light bread. The finish is slightly coppery. This is decent, but I would like either more sweet taste or sour character.
