Pours pinkish red with a big pink sustained head. Smells of raspberries with some underlying bitterness. Taste is of sweet raspberries with a pronounced sweetness. Mouthfeel is tingly. One of the better fruit beers I’ve had.

Pours with a modest head that dissipates rather quickly, and a strong raspberry aroma. The fruity sweetness makes me thing that juice, rather than fresh berries were used in the brew. The brown ale base provides a decent platform for this fruit beer, but it lacks the complexity of a traditional lambic.

A fruit Bière de Garde opening this bottle was like smelling fresh raspberries and this beer was cloying as some fruit beers tend to be. Page 271 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 343 of his 500 Classic Brews to go.

Nice dark red with a huge, reddish head. The aroma has a lot of raspberries and is very nice. The flavour has the same sweetness and acidity as raspberries, and it’s a nice framboise, but not even close to my beloved Lindemans Framboise.

Bottle best before 10/07. Deep brown/ ruby color with a quickly fading ivory head. Sweet, Raspberry aroma. Thin, brown ale flavor with a hint of raspberry. Clean and pleasant without being overly sweet on the plate. Clean finish. Nice.

Cherryish red pour. Very natural sweet raspberry aroma. Juicily fruity with a medium sour finish. Creamy raspberry sponge afters. Much maltier and wheatier than its Belgian cousins, with none of their puckering tartness. Smooth and accomplished refresher without a trace of booze.
