Hazy yellow gold with a decent white head. Decent fruity malt and some bright aromatic hops. Burnt sugar, strange caramel notes, a little dull really. Faint hoppy bitterness in the finish. So so.

Aug 16, 2009 Bottle @ Heeren Van Liedekercke, Denderleeuw. Pours a clear pale golden color with a small white head. Has a sweetish malty spicy aroma. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty flavor with hints of rum. Has a fruity malty spicy finish.

Aroma: 6/10 : Fruity sweet nose, bitter start, then some sticky malts uncomplex then more dry bitterness in the finish.
Palate: 2/5 : Unpleasant mouthfeel, bitter with an alcoholic liquorfeel over it.
Flavor: 6/10 : Ok, leans towards the bitter side.
Overall: 12/20 : Not very bad, not suited for aging at all. Artifically pumped ABV.

Jun 17, 2009 Pours bright golden to milky apricot with a high rocky head. Heady nose of lemon sherbet yeastiness, banana, coconut shavings and Malibu splashes underpinned with sprucey hop. Coniferous and yeasty tang smothered with an odd combo of syrup and spiritous bitterness that clings unpleasantly. Fine smelling ale that tastes increasingly wrong. Didn’t finish.

May 20, 2009 bottle, pours a lucious hazy gold with a tall frothy white head; good lacing. Aroma is bready, some hay, and a little bit of booze. Light and sweet malt notes that mingle with a yeasty character. Turns boozy with a light alcohol burn and a touch of spice. Fairly well balanced, enough sweet, enough alcohol heat, the rum is only mildly noticable.

May 5, 2009 Updated: May 6, 2009Bottle from Belgium Beers, Antwerp. Stable, big-bubbled white head. Pale golden colored body. Sweet candy-ish fruit aroma with notes of cork and almonds, paired with a whiff of Belgo-yeast and mild spices. Moderatly sweet fruity and yeasty taste. Underlying spice and citrus zest. Light-bodied for a 7-percenter. Unrefined sweetness in the finish. Absolutely drinkable, but not too well-rounded, and a tad too far on the sugary side for me.
