Commercial Description:
Our double black stout is made with roasted barley which gives it its coffee flavour. Well hopped and crisp. It is served with its typical "Guinness" style creamy head.

Objectively speaking: A Guinness replacement of problematic standing.
I like: Solid appearance, good foam. My memories of this beer before this most recent visit.
I dislike: Stale coffee nose. Huge phenols. Raw plastic middle. Ridiculously watery texture – is it even all grain? Little roast. No hops noticed. I picked it hoping to have a beer that would hide its flaws.

Pours a pitch black color with a thin creamy beige head that sticks to the glass. Mild aroma of chocolate and coffee. Mild flavor of chocolate and coffee. The body is light with a dry texture and moderate carbonation.

Dark brown, almost black. Neat tan creamy top. Dark roast, acidic undertones in aroma, dry, light woody character below. Fells slightly thin at front, chewy texture helps here. Medium bitter roast, dark acidic finish.

Very nice dark brown, almost black appearance with a large frothy medium brown head. The nose has hints of coffee and a nice choclatey sweetness. The body is somewhat sweet with a delicious choclatey character throughout. Finishes long and bittersweet, but lacking a bit of craved roast. A good sweet stout.
