Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de caramel avec une pointe de fraises et d’épices. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. A feeble attempt at a trappist ale of some sort.
I like:

I dislike:
Hugely phenolic from start to finish. No head. Higher alcohols. Astringent blueberry skin finish. Very, very light bodied – lots of sugars replacing malts. Medicinal. Loaded with defaults. I had really liked it during my last visit!

Aug 1, 2006 It pours slowly a dark brown color, it has a spicy flavor and the aroma of caramel. It is a very good beer but I would not call it a Belgium ale.

Nov 2, 2005 Pours a clear golden color with a ring of white lace. Aroma of caramel and spices with strong lingering sweetness. Interesting flavor of caramel, spices with dominating sweetness in the finish. The body is light with a liquorous texture.

Sep 5, 2005 Amber with fine head on top. Sill, stoic look. Aroma dominated with malts and alcohol which was rather well blended and refined , touch of raw yeast .Medium to full bodied, chewy malt followed by alcohol . Decent brew, no major flaws but lacking unique character.

Jul 16, 2005 Slightly hazed amber colour with a nice off white head. The nose is sweet with caramel and yeast. The body is smooth and very sweet. I tasted this from a plastic cup at the Tremblant Blues Festival, definitely not the right "glass" for the beer, perhaps this affected my tasting. Very sweet and alcoholic, not my choice for a good Belgian.
