JoeMcPhee (3692), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Aug 3, 2005 Big props to Oakes for bringing this gem back. Still golden appearance. Big thick legs coat the glass. Aroma is amazing, sweet baked apples coated with caramel sauce, cinnamon, nutmeg and toffee. There are also notes of almonds and honey. The flavour is even more amazing, sweet baked apple, toffee, and spice coat the mouth in a velvety layer of pure appley goodness. After the swallow, you get hit with woody vanilla, some pepper before a gorgeous malic acid tartness cuts through all of that sweetness and makes your mouth water for minutes. Finish lasts and lasts. Simply awesome!

Aroma is average malt (hay, straw), light hops (grass), light yeast (earth) with notes of apple. Medium bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation, and a sweet finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness. doubleo (743), San Diego, California, USA Jul 12, 2008 375ml bottle from glouglouburp. Pours clear yellow, no head. Smells like concentrated sweet apple juice. Tastes like smooth, concentrated apple juice. Sweet, slightly fermented/rotten and some alcohol. Full, sygary sweet body, no carbonation. Awesome! If you haven’t tried it, do it. yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 9, 2008 RB#5400: 5 cL bottle, thanks to Ungstrup. Pours clear and deep golden yellow to orange, no head. Dense apple aroma, sweet and phenol at once - almost mead like. Flavour starts sweet and reveals a solid apple authentic flavour with load of floral elements and phenol. Smooth and warming at once, light sugarish. Citric into the finish - light shivering :)
