KimJohansen (6645), Copenhagen V, Denmark Oct 11, 2009 Clear golden with no head. Sweet aroma with apples and vanilla. Sweet flavour with loads of concentrated apples, vanilla and apple cake. Finished sweet. Very concentrated stuff. Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 11, 2009 Bottled. A dark amber cider. The aroma has strong notes of apples. The flavor is very sweet with acidic notes Of apples, leading to a tart finish. Lovely. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 11, 2009 Bottle 27,5 cl. Courtesy of TheCheeseMan. Pours a clear deep golden. Intense aroma of apples and overripe plums with some vanilla. Very thick, very sweet apple accents - almost honeyish - yet with an underlying tartness. Again vanilla accents. Lovely. 111009 yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 11, 2009 37.5 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours clear and golden orange with no head. Aroma is smooth apple fruity. Light phenolic note. Sweet and smooth fruity, mild citric note. Fruity and citric, bitter too. Smooth fruity lingering finish - lovely! tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 22, 2009 Bottle, shared with my wife on our 8th wedding anniversary. Pinkish yellow. Strong apple aroma, somewhat tart. Taste is very tart and sweet. I actually found the body thin in comparison to some other world class ciders. Dry sweet finish. Enjoyable, but not worth the price - there are better ice ciders. Still a nice treat though. TheEpeeist (1427), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 29, 2009 375 ml bottle. Clear tannish pink with a few bubbles on the edge. Nose is baked apple, pie crust, vanilla; a touch of lemon zest. Slick body, borderline syrupy, not quite crisp. Taste begins with earthy apple. Gets somewhat tart like a Fuji, before finishing with green apple and peel. Not quite as polished as the Neige but still a delicious apple experience. nuplastikk (1157), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Aug 13, 2009 DC Local Gathering, graciously shared by ygtbsm94. Deep alcohol laced cider aroma, a touch darker than the Eternelle. Orange-tan color, hyper filtered. Some thick red apple taste. Not unlike honey-mead. Sticky sweet, hides the alcohol perfectly. Very mellow. Sugary finish. nimbleprop (819), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA Aug 12, 2009 Sampled at the DC Local Gathering. 2nd Ice Cider ever. Nose is earthy with apples and a distinct vegetal aroma. Flavor is more apples, sweet caramel. Thicker and sweeter than the Neige. A little salty on the lips, legs like a scotch with a distinct alcohol burn.
