(375ml bottle) This is no regular ice cider, its the extract of the golden crown. Chipped away ice from the jewel core. Nose of tart, ripened apples amass a watered enclosure with citrus fruit and brown sugar. Pours lighter in colour and slightly less viscous. A cider of a new class and standard. She is a jewel in her own crown.

2-year old bottle; this is solely made from the indigenous apple genus which grows on one of their lands...This is the apple which, in smaller proportions, gives a distinct character to their majestic Frimas, except here it comprises 100% of the apples used to make this ice cider...The result is like no ice cider you’ve had before, and somewhat unsettling at first...Browned apples are accompanied by citrus fruit, oranges and wild herbs...Lactic notes merge with the thick caramel, resting on thriving wood...Highly original and complex, offering a broader flavor range than your regular ice cider...Definitely deserving of further study, these guys are defining what excellence and class means for the ice cider category...

4-year old 2003 bottle; the body is still enormous and highly decadent. The wilderness is long gone though (except in the nose) and what remains is a hugely sweet, apple pie. The apple fruitiness is still different from the usual varieties used in ice cider, but its personality has somewhat deflated. Alcohol heat is present, taking this ice cider closer to mistelle territory flavor-wise. Another fantastic Face Cachée de la Pomme product!
