HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Oct 19, 2009 Bottle. Mondiale 2009 - day 3. "Cloudy green - yes, GREEN - pour with no head. Simple, almost boring aroma of slightly green apple and sweetner. The taste freaked me out - I got virtually no apple, it tasted like a lime sports drink cooler. Thin mouthfeel, just a hint of tart acidity, but ultimately sugary and the fruit character seemed forced and artificial - not horrible, but quite a letdown from the makers of 3 of the best ice ciders I have ever tasted. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2009 Well no surprises here, it tastes like what you would expect a champagne with apples would taste like. Dry, bubbly apple juice. Refreshing, and quite nice. I enjoyed it. elihapa (1033), Honolulu, California, USA Mar 13, 2009 A light pouring, "natural" sparkling cider. Tasted at the cidery. Flavor is unsweetened, and light of underripe apples. Palate features prickly carbonation, which slightly detracts from the flavor. Finish is crisp, slightly tart, and overall decent. My girlfriend didn’t care for this one as much as the rest of Face Cachee’s line. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Oct 4, 2008 Bottle shared by puzzl, who I was glad to see survived the bottle opening... his ceiling didn’t fare as well. Pale straw colour with a very effervescent carbonation. Soft minerally/dusty carbonation. Lightly chalky and a little bit tart. Quite spritzy and champagne-like. Very light apple with a very dry finish. It’s quite simple, but it’s pretty good. notalush (2626), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 3, 2008 Thanks to puzzl for sharing - clear light gold, effervescent pour - light aroma, with apple skins and light phenols - tart, dry, champaign-like flavor - not terribly complex - just light apple flavor and tingly carbonation - refreshing in a way, but mostly forgettable. puzzl (2579), New York, New York, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle. This shit almost killed me. Not even kidding. It left a crazy dent in the ceiling. Yikes. Aroma has some oxidized apple, nice cinnamon, a little bit of alcohol. Lots of carbonation, quite fizzy, with a kind of chewy, apple skins flavor. Pretty dry. Decent enough. Quevillon (1515), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Mar 28, 2008 Dégusté au Salon des vins et spiritueux de Montreal 08, le 28/3/08. Couleur vin blanc, peu de bulle. Arome de pomme sec, un peu sucré. Goût sec et sûrette, pas très savoureuse. L’opposé de Frima! Rastacouere (5551), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Dec 3, 2006 A sparkling light yellow offering which shines by its limitations. Rather bland apple flavours are not really juicy at all while little else happen and everything settles quickly. Very short finish is dry and cleansing and we forget we ever tasted it.
