Commercial Description:
’A taste of Québec’s winter... and warmth! Dégel is the product of the sugars still held captive in the ice that is at the origin of Neige, our apple ice wine. When exterior temperatures rise, country steams begin to flow and spring is once again on its way, we transform the apple must’s second run into a fresh and delightfully fruity elixir. Dégel can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif, or as an accompaniment to white meat or fish. Serve iced.’

750ml bottle. 2005 Vintage. pours a clear light yellow, looks like white wine. Aroma is big on apples with a touch of honey, and some alcohol. Flavour is very much like their iced wine, just a tad less sweet, and the mouthfeel is nowhere near as thick. This is excellent stuff, its like apple wine. Really great apple flavour, once again La Face Cachee De La Pomme shows us why they are one of the worlds best cideries.

2007 Bottle via a trade with thecheeseman. Pours with a still golden body and monstrous legs. Aroma of sweet baked apple and a nice sort of balancing sour component. Taste is awesome with sweet apple and a light citrus zest, sourness. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Still.

07.10.05 RBSG tour. Still cider. Pale green tint. Dry, tart finish. Light throat tingle. Bursting boquet attacks, leaves slick of mineral and leather behind.

RBSG bottle Sparkling clear light golden yellow. Aroma is fresh apples and spice. Very aromatic. Light on the tongue, very little acidity and hides the alcohol well. Warming after. Very nice.

Courtesy TheCheeseMan. Light straw color, no head. Sweet crisp aroma, certainly doesn’t smell like a 12% cider. Nice even tart taste - again, little alcohol presence, very crisp finish. Very even-handed for a strong cider. I really liked this one.

2006 bottle from Puzzl. Gold with no head. Aroma is sweet, light alcohol, some tartness, red apples. Taste is mildly alcoholic, strong red apple like sweetness and light tartness. Good stuff.
