Clear yellow orange amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, tobac, spicy, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (240508)

Hazy dark gold colour with a thin white head. Sweet and bready yet not overly yeasty for the style and with plenty of malt. Far from a world beater but a pleasant enough drink.

Mar 28, 2008 A pretty classic-tasting Belgian pale ale that has unreconstructed, homebrew leanings... and I mean that in a good way. Draft at the Ferme au Chene. Hazy orange-amber, big white head slowly recedes. Nose is sweetish and grainy. Flavor is lightly sweet, rolling into a slightly dry, bready and faint bitterness. Tastes like juice of the barley. No obvious funny stuff. It’s a nice beer that’s even better with some salty local sausage.
