Hazy dark gold colour with a thin white head. Sweet and bready yet not overly yeasty for the style and with plenty of malt. Far from a world beater but a pleasant enough drink. joergen (8610), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2008 A pretty classic-tasting Belgian pale ale that has unreconstructed, homebrew leanings... and I mean that in a good way. Draft at the Ferme au Chene. Hazy orange-amber, big white head slowly recedes. Nose is sweetish and grainy. Flavor is lightly sweet, rolling into a slightly dry, bready and faint bitterness. Tastes like juice of the barley. No obvious funny stuff. It’s a nice beer that’s even better with some salty local sausage. Bragesnak (2276), Aarhus, Denmark
