Sample from 330 ml bottle at the Mondial. Dark nearly opaque walnut body with a bit of lasting head, no real lacing...burnt prunes, tar and smoke, caramel reek out intensely and aromatically into the nose, but licorice is what lingers...quite sweet with baked dark fruits (dates, apples) a bit more smoke and burnt caramel...bing cherries frothily emanate near the end from the effervescent, luscious mouthfeel.

It opened like modest champagne bottle . Transparent dark reddish brown head light brown after pouring disappeared fast.Aroma roasted malts,chocolate, quite fizzy, sweet dried fruits. Alcohol presents Pleasant spicy hoppy aftertaste ,no signs of vinegar or other spoiling effects. Stored last 11 months concrete cellar darkness and +12C

Aug 8, 2008 Very dark red-brown beer with big beige head. Aroma is complex: lot of dried fruits, sweetness, anise and hint of alcohol. Flavour is also very complex: fruits, spice and sweetness that dried in the end and flavour changes slightly roasted and hoppiness. Full bodied beer with quite much of cacrbonation but still quite nice to drink. Complex, cristmas-like, sweet beer with lot of pleasant nuancees.

Aug 8, 2008 On tap @ Café Gollem, a few months ago. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, malts and dark fruits. Very sweet flavour, sweet malts and brown sugar, alcohol. Raisins. Way too sweet.

Jul 6, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours clear, golden deep amber to brown with an orange glare and a lacing off-white head. Yeasty, fruity and light spiced aroma - very inviting. Flavour starts medium sweet with a nice level of spice flavours and a light liqourice/annis seed note. Lingering roasted caramel and light spiced flavours into the finish. Flavourful yet simple and nice.
