La Jolla Brewhouse St. Sideburn Triple

(Draft: Beach House Brewery in La Jolla, CA) The flavor is spicy, light bubblegum and mild candi, but not all that sweet for a triple. There’s a moderate bitterness in the finish. Tangy, carbonated palate seems kind of thin for the style. The nose is spicy and sweet, with a fairly obvious smell of alcohol. Dark golden color and quite murky in appearance. Off-white head is small on the pour, but has totally dissipated in under a minute. Passable (at happy hour prices), but definitely below average for the style.
