MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA Sep 18, 2007 On draft in La Jolla at The Spot. Rating from notes on bar napkin. Appears pale gold with small diminishing head and light lace. Aromas come in floral and resiny with notes of wet cardboard. Flavor is malty up front, thick and doughy, then balanced with moderate bitterness and a subdued floral note. Not sweet nor bitter. Fizzy carbonation and thin in profile. Finish is lasting and moderately bitter. Good quencher, no big flavors but nothing to complain about. Not a big beer but good. Not sure if it’s a 2.3 but that’s what I put on the napkin, seems all my ratings were low for the whole trip.
