Glouglouburp (1935), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 9, 2007 Updated: Oct 15, 2007In short: Carbonated sweet peach juice. Sickening.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Cloudy dark dirty orange body without much head.
In long: Ratebeer requires a minimum number of words in a rating otherwise it gives me a warning message. So here we go, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice, sweet peach juice. It’s enough I think.
Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 27, 2005 A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is very sweet and peachy. The flavor is weirdly thin with notes of peach, and a sticky mouthfeel. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2005 Hazy amber, off-white ring with traces of lacing. Big powdery peach nose, juicy, skinny, candyish, canned type like is frankly not very appealing. Fleshy palate, metallic finish with little to no hops and oxidized edges. Moderate carbonation, light bodied.
tiggmtl (4180), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jul 18, 2005 Candy-like fruity sweetness over stale cardboard. Opaque tan-brown body with low off-white head that recedes to ring with some lacing. Peach candy with some herbal tones. Cloyingly sweet and syrupy despite watery texture. Light body with prickly but short-lived carbonation. Sampled at the brewpub with Oakes, Rastacouere and Ungstrup. Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 16, 2005 Hazy brownish rousse. Background caramel and diacetyl clash with sweet peaches in both aroma and palate. Lots of oxidation, too. Tastes like they took stale, unsold rousse and tried to cover it up with peach juice. Terrible.
