Commercial Description:
A bottle conditioned cider made from our own apples. Pale gold and clear if decanted of the yeast lees, cloudy if shaken for a more rustic style. Refined apple aromas with a hint of yeast on the nose, the palate is dry and refreshing, with good ripe apple flavours and a delicious sparkle.

From polypin at La Mare Vineyard, Jersey. Clear orange with no head. Sharp fruity, peely apple flavours, a little acidic, tart. Refined heavy cider, no farmy nose nor cloudiness in this sample. Fresh and citric. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Cloudy orange in colour. Aromas are apple juice with some sourness and mustiness - smells fairly traditional. Flavours are sweet and tart apple juice with some dryness. Not as farmhouse in flavour as the aroma but still reasonable. The alcohol isn’t really evident until the end of the bottle.

Bottle. 2000 vintage. Yes, definitely on the fresh and clean side. It had been a long evenin, and this was among the last beverages, but it seemed to still stick out a little bit, some light tart acidity, and a touch of sweet apple. Not the best cider, but quite drinkable/pleasant.

2000 Vintage. Fresh and fruity aroma. Quite sharp and clean, but not packed with character. I suspect it may have been past its prime - the website says it will keep for 2 years. Bottle, from Hop Pocket Wine Company, February 2005.
