Huge almond-coloured frothy head with a well carbonated orange, peppered body. Flavour is very spiced and yeasty. All in all a fairly average Belgian Ale. JK (2952), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

It is a very yeasty beer in the aroma and flavor. The yeast is combined with lots of hops for a flavor that works quite well. It is on the dry side, but just a touch of pine and citrus. A good medium sweet malt base. Dark gold and cloudy. Very heavily carbonated but a light, pleasant palate. The khaki colored head starts tall but fades quickly. fonefan (11525), VestJylland, Denmark

Hazy copper red color with a average white head. Aroma is heavy malt, (burnt) citrus / lime, brown sugar and alcohol. Flavor starts heavy sweet and moderate bitter, and ends moderate sweet and heavy bitter with a average duration and a nice dryness. reakt (937), Greater London, England

Looks like it might float away on the fizzy storm swelling beneath it. Nose of sour fruits and vinegar. Both sweet and sour with tastes of grass, white grapes, orange zest, pear and lemon. Very crisp and light with ample sediment. Appropriate dry finish likened to a good champagne. I enjoyed this, must try regular La Moneuse now... yespr (12173), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Pours with creamy light brown head and with a deep orange brown colour. Clear smell of hops, yeast and caramel. Taste sweet wit alcoholoic notes, orange, caramel and yeast - weak malts notes deeply hidden. Good, but nothing special.6-4-6-3-13=3.2
From tap, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours hazy orange with a huge dense off-white head. Spiced caramel malty aroma. Flavour is spiced with a mild tobacco and dry malty flavour. Spiced and caramel malty flavour, lacks sweetness completely. Has a nice bitterness in the finish with a slight herbal touch. 6-3-6-3-12=3.0 SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 16, 2006 Found at Brewery Creek. Dark amber, opaque with yeast. Big, billowy head. The aroma is big yeasty like a dusty attic. There’s actually no beer character to the aroma. On the palate, it’s got a lot of honey/date sweetness, some more of that dusty yeast. Soft body. The finish is mainly date-sweet malts and a touch of yeasty acidity. Kind of boring for this brewery. thornecb (1774), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
