75cl bottle from The Belgian Belly. Initial impression is OH MY GOD this is over carbed. Great aroma. Smells and tastes like this sample is reasonably aged but there is no way to tell from the bottle but it was covered in dust and very old looking. Very creamy and fruity. Rather nutty too, peanut butter maybe. Very bitty finish. Pretty tasty overall. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2005 Hazy orange-red body with much suspended sediment, medium tan head. Floral, sweet, petaly aroma, with sweet breads and caramel. Sharp, somewhat tart body, earthy, toasty, and caramely, big on the yeast esters. Spicy. A bit tea-llike, with appropriate bitterness to balance the breads and caramels. No real sweetness. Herbal, balanced, and tasty. jon112981 (327), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA

It smells and tastes just like most other saisons. It’s a little less warming than I expected. The taste goes away quickly though. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 20, 2005 Sampled at a 2005 Christmas and Winter beer tasting at Delilah’s, Chicago, IL. 2001 vintage. Hazy amber ale having no discernable head and carbonation. No discernable aroma. Thin bodied that starts with light sweet malt and sour flavors. Finishes dry with sour malt aftertaste. Thin, watery, and sour tasting to boot, this is beer sure tough to drink. Bad bottle perhaps? As this is a 4 year old vintage beer, I will probably will need to resample in the future. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 19, 2005 750. Deeper amber color, cloudy, fuller sized beige head, very long lasting and pillowy. Pleasant aroma of cheese, some lighter funk, lighter fruit, quite yeasty and herbal. Flavor is also pretty herbal with some funkiness, yeast, citrus. Really nice components but altogether a touch mild. Medium to full bodied with lots of carbonation, but it’s very soft and it has a tiny bit of acidity. This is a solid beer and if the flavors were fleshed out a bit more it would be mind blowing. RAYBOY01 (1854), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2005 Stale, sour aroma that I found a little off-putting. Decent tartness with some apple cider notes, honey and floral as well. Very spritzy and light on the palette. Likeable enough! heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2005 Dark amber body that is a little cloudy. An extraordinary amount of bubbling activity from the etching in my tulip. The head is large and light off white. The smell is a litel overwhelming with delcious honey, hay and some funky dried apples. This is a great smelling beer. The taste reminds me of waffles without any thing on top. There is also a dry hay note with some light dandelions. it gets a little sweeter as you drink. A nice saison that hits with a high abv punch that you cannot detect at all.
