Murky deep gold almost copper with a cloud like head that is very pillowy. Dusty, earthy, mineraly nose with a touch of lemon. Tons of tight carbonation on the palate. Tastes a bit more like a Belgian single or double, but on the super light side. Some banana and lemon up front. Wheat and mineral then hits me with some drying on the finish some sweetness also. Nice stuff, thanks Ben. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Oct 17, 2009 750, capped. thanks, ben! pours cloudy burnished dark gold with a towering, sudsy platinum blonde head. green apples, sweet cream, and dust on the nose, almost like a tripel. creamy medium body with mild wooly carb. mildly prickly. minerally, spicy, grassy, earthy mid palate. long creamy mid palate. Damico (165), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 18, 2009 The aroma is musty, potent from the wild yeasts I suppose. The appearance is darker than a standard saison, more maple color. The flavor is strong, no sweetness at all, but more of an aged, almost winey flavor. dwyerpg (2529), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Sep 12, 2009 Nice light spice aroma. Orangeish. This is good right away. Lots of spices, grows as it goes. Flavor is very unprepossessing and excellent. scraff (1926), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Sep 4, 2009 750 ml – The Wine Source. Dark hazy golden amber, huge rocky off-white head. Fresh grassy apricot and sweet citric aromas warm to swirls of rustic apple and peppered bread dough. Soft canided fuzzy fruit flavors round with a well textured old grassy-hay note and hints of backend peppery bitterness. 8% expertly hidden. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, lightly bittersweet finish. A great summer saison… hombrepalo (757), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 31, 2009 On tap @ hopleaf.
