pour a cloudy/hazy brownish orange, with a HUGE head. Aroma is very fruity, with lots of spice and yeast, and a slight caramel. Flavour is very yeasty, with lots of ripe fruit. This is a Saison? where is the pepperiness, and the nice bitter bite? Dont get me wrong, this is a very nice beer, the 8% is hidden extremely well, but a Saison? It’s unlike any saison i’ve ever had, its more a really yeasty fruity Belgian Ale. Oh well.....still very nice. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA

The appearance is orange gold with a very foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma with a bitter taste to it. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s very decent. Wim (1321), Turnhout, Belgium

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Medium hazy straw color - aroma of orangey citrus, bready yeast and come spice. Flavor was lovely - herbal notes, peppery coriander, sweet, a hint of lemony tartness, and a clean crisp finish. Very nice saison, though my sample was served a little cold - flavors probably improve with warmth. Rictus (126), Camdenton, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 2, 2007 A dry and pleasantly dusty aroma. Cloudy orange with floaties, hyperactive bubbles, and a huge head. I’m not a big fan of floaties but everything else makes up for it. Dry, with a dusty funky taste. Another beer for enjoying on a warm day. Light, but not on flavor. Ever so slight peppery bitterness in the back. Aftertaste is pleasant. The beer turns to velvety foam in your mouth. Pours a slightly hazy golden straw color with pillowy white head. Refreshing aroma of fruity tartness, dark brown sugar and mild funk. The high carbonation attacks the taste buds right off. I get a tart lemony fruit flavor with sweeter candy sugar and dark brown sugar. There’s also a perfect undercurrent of yeasty funk that plays very nicely against the other flavors. Tasty brew that I could drink all day. Great mix of flavors.
