Grain and a gentle yeastiness in the nose, quite dry and unexciting in the mouth with a fainty grainy sweetness, short sweet malty finish.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 10, 2007 poured an orangish yellow with a very large creamy white head.
What i took for a vanilla and lemon/peachy fruit in the aroma with a slightly bitter fruit flavour moving into a malty earthy sweetness.
Notes are limited, def. worth a re-rate. zathrus13 (1314), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 22, 2007 Clear golden color with a big white fizzy head. Wild grass, yeast and citrus aroma. Some funky sour flavors. Sweetness on the back end and fruit up front. Decent drink. By the way, my label looks a little different than the picture here. thewolf (5828), Kolding, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 11, 2007 Bottle, bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk. A copper-gylden colour with a very big, fluffy white head. Aroma is champagne-like, grapes and a little pepper. Nice, full mouthfeel - very smooth. Flavour is sweet and spicy, with pepper, grapes, peach, a good dry bitterness, coriander, oregano, oranges and yeast all breaking through. The alcohol is nowhere to be seen. gwpom (253), Akron, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Bomber. Always nice to find a highly rated belgian at discount prices. Cloudy orange with a tall white head, not as overly sweet as some belgian, nor could I detect the alcohol at first sip. A warm taste even when chilled, smooth, very nice. Gotta head back and see if there’s more of this on sale... very nice catch. It does seem just a bit overcarbonated. rayg1 (445), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Pours a nice deep orange with a rediculously huge off-white head. Aroma is very sweet and yeasty with a slight tartness and funk. Taste is predominatley sweet but is very well blended with a barnyard funk that adds a whole new aspect to this brew. This beer is so smooth wth a unique flavor of funk and barnyard mustiness that I love. Damn! Saison is aweseome, and this is one fine example.
