RCL (999), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jul 9, 2008 Very nice saison. Vigorous carbonation. Yeasty, white fruit and citrus aroma. Drier flavor with hints of dried apricot and hay.
FatguyRacer (83), Crownsville, Maryland, USA Aug 6, 2008 750 ml bottle poured into large snifter. Wow! This brew pours on the largest head of any brew I’ve had so far. I had to wait awhile to let it settle before I could drink it. It was pretty as a picture in the glass. A deep amber/orange with a light amber colored head. Crisp and dry with a strong hop presence that gives way to a mild malt aftertaste. A very well balanced brew. Surprisingly the alcohol is very subdued in it the smell and taste, but man this brew packs a wallop! An excellent Saison. dchmela (686), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2008 750 bottle shared with Lee. Chunky orange pour with a thick white head. Slightly sour orange and grapfruit aroma. Taste is light and sour with hints of grapefruit. Nice clean dry finish. BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Jul 28, 2008 38cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex brew, balanced, cloudy, rocky head, good brew Slayer85 (440), Firenze, Italy Jul 22, 2008 750 ml bottle. An unclear medium amber beer with a medium sized and disappearing white head. The aroma is rustic and nicely hoppy, with notes of bread, hay, oranges, flowers. The flavour is very balanced between its ingredients. Again flowery and fruity. There is a balanced acidity. Medium body, lively carbonation, dry long finish with medium bitterness and the alcohol is well hidden. A great beer, apart some problem with the uncorking because part of the beer is gone after the expolosion at the opening of the bottle. I will have this again. DuffMan (1915), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 11, 2008 Explodes from the bottle after removing the cage from the cork (scared the shit out of me actually). Huge gushing bubbly beer, dirty amber gold. Musty basement, dried straw, chamomile, citrus fruit, dry herbal finish. Complex and delicious.
