| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Bottle. Hazy, orangey copper with a great creamy offwhite head. Chocolate nose with hints of spices, even orange. Flavours are marked by good fruitiness with oranges dominating. Sweetish, but not excessively so. Good carbonation. A very interesting and complex beer, more of a Wallonian amber than a biere de garde. blankboy (3207), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2005 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry at Smokeless Joe. Pours a bubbly hazy orange-brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, spices and light hops. Flavour is predominently sweet malt -- just the right amount of sweetness for me -- also hops, wood, fruit, spices and yeast. Very smooth, I couldn’t taste the alcohol at all. I really enjoyed this. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2005 Bottle (330ml). Shared with blankboy at Smokeless Joe. Poured slightly hazy deep orange-copper, bubbly, with a small off-white creamy head - some tiny dark sediment particles. Aroma slightly of sour wine, hops, some mild roasty malt, orange/lemon zest, a hint of resin. Tastes of sweetish orange juice, hops, mild sweet malt, a bit of pine duff - ultimately quite tart. Acidic, slightly sticky mouthfeel, very smooth. Overall quite nice - an interesting combination of tart and malty-sweet. Sammy (4012), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Nutty, woody with some subtle berry fruit, yeasty, savoury sort of finish, a little sticky at times and not as good as some of the other beers from this brewery. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
