Tim Webb (7), Cambridge, England does not count Aug 14, 2009 75cl bottle. 7.5% abv slightly copper-tinged blonde, so neither one thing nor the other. Nothing characterful shining through, so hard to be descriptive. omhper (12153), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 2, 2009 Bottled. Clear golden, small head. Vanilla and dough comes through first. Sweet and well rounded with medium body. Spun sugar mixing with toffee abd butter. Low bitterness. Solid, but more traditional than revolutionary. goozen (1061), Leiden, Netherlands May 5, 2007 Bottle 0,75ltr: Beer brewed in name of a French revolutionary leader wich they chops his head off with the guillotine. Perhaps if you drink plenty of this brew you got somekind of a impression. Garrat (1132), Suffolk, England Jan 7, 2006 Bottle.Light amber with a small head, aroma is yeasty, taste is malty and clean with bread and toffee. JonMoore (1561), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Oct 31, 2005 Bottle. Hazy amber colour with large white head. Aroma has, sweet malts, oranges, boiled fruit, some barnyardyness perhaps. Nice taste, with similar elements plus some caramel. Nice tingle on the tongue in the finish. Medium bodied, with well hid alcohol. I’m getting to like these Bière de Gardes. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Dec 30, 2004 Bottle. Had this with Christmas dinner and it went down a treat. Not the best Biere de garde you’ll have, but solid enough. Some lightly sweet malt, but tends more towards savoury. Quite flowery, with some peach and apricot and also a bit of lemon. Some slight cheesy barnyard characters pop out every now and then. Slight sugary tingle on the tongue. Pretty nice.
