MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Sep 21, 2008 Bottle, 6.0%. Very slow gusher. Weak sweet malt aroma, faint hint of smoke. Almost clear brown colour. The flavour starts off good, mild but OK smoke flavour. Ends slightly rough, but all in all acceptable. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 18, 2008 75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a fizzy white head. Mild smoked and cornish aroma. Flavour is light smoked and dry caramel malty, smooth yet also vague in flavour. Lingering smoked finish. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 5, 2008 Objectively speaking:
A soft, sweetish ale with wheat and smoke aroma that seems much feebler in mouth.
I like:
Competent smoky nose. Fresh enough. Likeable wheat extraction.
I dislike:
Rather out of place fruitiness eventually completely obstruct the smokiness. Not very clean in the end. Very light-bodied.
faroeviking (4414), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark May 21, 2008 Clear amber short head. Mild smokey and malty aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a good not to profound smokiness with toasted malt, some bitter hops and a mild sweetness. Dry mild smoky and malty finish. Not bad. uhre (290), Denmark Apr 13, 2008 The aroma is smoked, it looks like copper and has no head. The palate is like a pilsner. Flavor is first yeast (like a Belgium wheat, but only split second) then the smoke kicks in.
