| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 5, 2007 Updated: May 11, 2008Draught at Brick Store in Atlanta. Pours deep reddish copper with a bubbly cream head. Sweet yet tart aroma with light funk qualities. The flavor is complex, some initial notes that are almost wine-like that give way to sweet caramel malts, with lightly acidic notes coming in, giving this an almost Flemish like finish, with cherry notes. Very enjoyable for it’s sheer complexity. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2006 Draft. This was an interesting belgian strong. Almost grape-like in color, although the restaurant was dark and I’m half-color blind. On first sip it tasted almost like a red wine; however, it developed a nice sweet ale taste going down. This selection might be best with dessert over the holidays. rauchbier (3003), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England

Deep chestnut, good off white head and moderate condition. Good mix of sweet malt and citric fruit mingled with delicate spices and a slight peppery hop note in the nose. Soft and hoppy in the mouth with a gentle dry roast bitterness. Soft and understated in the finish with a bitter dry chalkiness lingering.
